I spent the past week in the Tri-Cities, at a PAWA plein air event that culminated in a wet painting exhibition, concurrent with a juried exhibition.
I participated in both events, with my student and studio assistant Julie Stonebraker Nelson, another student, Min Zhong, and my great niece Ramie Erickson. A great time was had by all. Julie and Min both received awards; Julie received Honorable Mention for her painting in the juried division, and Best Sky in the wet paint exhibition; Min received 1st Place for the wet painting exhibition. I take no credit for their success, they worked hard and I'm proud of them.
I really enjoyed getting to know my great niece Ramie and her husband Garin. Ramie is an accomplished painter herself.
The Gallery in the Park / Allied Arts hosted the event, and provided the jurors. The Gallery is a nice little exhibition space
