| My Winter Lecture Series is two thirds full. The remaining tickets can be purchased at a special discount; buy one and you can bring a guest for half price. The first lecture, “Painting Really Large in a Really Small Studio”, will take place in my Snohomish Panther Lake studio on November 10. It will focus on a work-in-progress called “Plaza Guemes”, a painting approximately 6.3 feet by 8 feet. A significant portion of the lecture will highlight art historical works that served as inspiration for “Plaza Guemes”, such as the above Pre-Raphaelite painting by Ford Maddox Brown. |

Each lecture will be approximately 2 hours, with a brief intermission (refreshments included.) There will be a wine reception after the presentation. The lecture consists of a Keynote slideshow presentation and live painting demo, and mixes art historical information, practical painting technique and personal anecdote, followed by a short Q & A period.
